"Culture is all about people." - Martin N. Davidson
Providing quality service to our growing, culturally diverse community requires that your nonprofit be culturally competent...but what does it mean to be culturally competent?
Cultural competency is the ability of individuals and systems to respond respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, classes, races, ethnic backgrounds and religions.
The Culture of Service gives you the awareness and tools necessary to build cultural competency in your organization.
Here are four ways Culture of Service can help your nonprofit be more culturally competent:
Culture of Service Consortium [link]
An engaging monthly lunch program at which your nonprofit team can share successes and challenges with other nonprofits as you strive to be more culturally competent. Each Culture of Service Consortium includes a provocative program designed to increase awareness and understanding of cultural and diversity issues in Northwest Arkansas.
Culture of Service Video [link]
A 30-minute video produced by Just Communities that features candid interviews with Northwest Arkansas leaders sharing their views on what it means to be culturally competent in our community and in our organizations.
